Lisa Hunnicutt, AIA

Lisa Hunnicutt is a licensed architect and creative entrepreneur whose career bridges architecture, business, and the arts. Originally from Connecticut, Lisa has lived and worked in Florida, California, and the Caribbean, and now resides in both Boulder, Colorado, and Beaufort, SC. Throughout her professional journey, she has balanced an architectural practice with her passion for art, design, and community engagement.

Foundations in Design & Entrepreneurship

A graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Architecture, Lisa began her career working with several architectural and design firms across the U.S. before founding Hunnicutt Design Associates in Los Angeles. Her firm specialized in commercial design, providing architectural and interior design services to clients in the financial, entertainment, and healthcare industries, including Tenet Healthcare, Starbucks, Prudential Securities, Smith Barney, and Warner Bros. Studios.

Global Ventures & Community Impact

Following her time in California, Lisa moved to the Caribbean, where she founded AQUA on Bequia, a successful vacation rental business in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. During this time, she served as board president of The Bequia Sunshine School, a nonprofit institution supporting children with special needs, where she helped guide fundraising and community initiatives that continue to sustain the school today.

Arts Leadership & Cultural Engagement

After relocating to Boulder, Lisa deepened her engagement with the arts community through her service on the Board of Directors for The Dairy Arts Center, one of Boulder’s premier cultural venues. There, she chaired the Development Committee and later served as vice president and president of the board, spearheading facility improvements and supporting fundraising and community outreach efforts.

A Passion for Creative Living

Lisa combines a strong business acumen with a lifelong passion for creativity. Her architectural expertise is complemented by artistic pursuits, including painting and jewelry design. She continues to be driven by the belief that a constructive, creative life should serve both personal fulfillment and the wider community.

Jennifer "Jen" Mahoney, MBA

Jen Mahoney is a compassionate and results-driven operations leader who has a proven track record in her career of driving operational excellence, organizational growth, and strategic innovation across diverse industries. Known for her positive, strategic mindset and people-centered leadership style, she excels at implementing systems that improve organizational efficiency and supporting long-term strategic goals to drive sustainable growth while remaining deeply committed to community impact.

Leadership in Operations & Organizational Growth

Jen’s professional leadership background includes most recently being the Director of Operations for Ron Carpenter Ministries, where she oversaw day-to-day operations for a dual-campus global nonprofit ministry and led HR initiatives for over 140 employees. Jen played a key role in driving the growing organizational transformation efforts, fostering a strong internal culture, and managing complex financial operations.

Community Relations & Experience Management

Prior to that, Jen was the Director of Member Services at Brays Island Plantation, where she managed community relations, high-profile events, and property operations for a premier private residential community. Jen’s initiatives of implementing a new member’s website and reservation system streamlined and enhanced communications for members and boards of directors/committees.

Local Engagement & Event Leadership

Jen also spent several years working at the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce, where she worked in management roles at the Visitor’s Center and with the Membership Department. She was heavily involved in planning and oversight of many of the chamber’s community events and was instrumental in streamlining the membership and database management processes.ty outreach efforts.

Commitment Beyond the Workplace

Beyond her professional work, Jen has a passion for being engaged in her community. She has contributed her time and leadership to organizations such as Circle of Hope Ministries for Veterans, the Salvation Army, United Way, and CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, supporting initiatives ranging from veteran services to fundraising and volunteer coordination. Jen is also a classically trained pianist and enjoys sharing her love of music with others.
